Pastor’s word on forgiveness

In the book of Mathew, Jesus taught his disciples through prayer; “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Forgiveness is necessary in order to be in good standing with God. It takes more energy to hold grudges and harbor the pains of past situations than to forgive. To forgive means that you have totally embraced the love of God. It is God who shines His love on and around us. We see Gods love through the grace God affords us with. This is a love that shows us that forgiveness is real. To make it plain; “He looks beyond our faults and sees our needs.”
